CBN receives funding from the Department of Health

30 November 2010

CBN has been funded by the Department for Health to take forward three important projects over the coming months.

We will be developing a set of postcards for young people whose family member or friend is seriously ill - these postcards will help young people ask for support from those around them.

It's increasingly important for childhood bereavement services to be able to demonstrate how effective they are. To help them do this, we are working to develop an appropriate tool to measure the changes that services make. We're working with children, parents, service providers, managers and commissioners to gather their views. Click here for more information for service providers.

We are also working hard to make sure that the needs of bereaved children aren't forgotten at a time of rapid reform of the public sector and in particular, discussions around how palliative care - including bereavement care - should be funded and provided.
